Patient Support

We offer a variety of support services to help patients and their families cope with the challenges of kidney disease. We provide counseling services, support groups, and educational resources to help you manage your condition.
We provide education materials to people with kidney disease, hospital dialysis units and the general public. These materials are provided free of charge to any Canadian living with kidney disease and can be obtained from your local renal unit or your local Kidney Foundation branch office.

Our world is increasingly driven by experiences. In addition to raising funds, events have evolved into strategic tools that Laskida use to create inspiring experiences, connect to people with kidney issues, and generate revenue through ticket sales. Using event marketing to drive your fundraising strategy is a sure way to bring in the needed funds for Laskida. We rely on the generosity of donors to support our mission. We organize fundraising events, accept donations, and partner with businesses and community organizations to raise funds for kidney disease research and patient support services.

Advocacy

We advocate for legislative and policy changes that promote kidney health and improve the lives of those affected by kidney disease. We work with policymakers and stakeholders to ensure that kidney disease is a priority in healthcare and research. Laskida supports and amplifies the voices of patients, donors, care partners, and professionals through our Voices for Kidney Health advocate community. By recruiting and engaging a diverse array of stakeholders from all facets the kidney community, we propose meaningful, actionable legislation and policy to improve the lives of kidney patients nationwide. Our Kidney Advocacy Committee, Kidney Outreach Team, and Public Policy Committee are comprised of dedicated advocates that advise, review, and focus our government relations efforts in ways that will be most meaningful to our community
